Kork - Hobe Sound

I hope cork will increase their food quality. the service was average. we had three different entrees for Sunday brunch. no one was special. felt like they were prepared all hours before and just reheated. beautiful place to eat outside.

Went to KORK to celebrate my husband 's birthday. It was an exceptional experience. The hostess made certain to create a celebratory atmosphere. Our waiter, Carlos, was extremely pleasant, accommodating, knowlegable about food choices and very attentive. He couldn 't have been better. We both ordered the prime rib special which came out perfectly cooked to order. We also ordered a salad and since they did not have blue cheese dressing we were surprised with blue cheese crumbles as a topping. During our meal a staff member (who I think might have been the Chef) came to our table to ensure all was correct and tasty. Their drink menu offers a good selection of innovative drinks. I had the cucumber mint martini made with vodka and my husband the maple in the rye old fashion. Both plentiful and a pleasant change to our normal cocktails. We were also treated to a special birthday dessert which was definitely a nice touch. In general, staff assisting other tables appeared to also be pleasant and attentive. Being new to the area we decided to give KORK a chance...glad we did! It is now a go to spot for us.

Not a good food experience. This was our second visit (first was great) and we were very disappointed with the food. Our waiter was very good. The egg roll tasted like it was fried in old oil and very greasy. The mahi fish dish was awful. It looked like two frozen fillets that you can buy at Costco and came with a bland white thick gravy. Not at all what the description implied. The restaurant was fairly empty for dinner so maybe they do a big brunch crowd.

Very good food and beverage and the service was great. Their prime rib is excellent.

My wife and I enjoyed dining outside; happy hour special was $1 oysters before 6pm with fresh shaved horseradish. Wine bottles were 1/2 off which kept the bill manageable. Food was good and we will be back. My only negative is live singer was not great which tarnished the awesome Outdoor ambiance
