Kendall's Kountry Meat Market - Hobbs

My husband and I love dining at this restaurant. The portion sizes are quite generous, and the service is always friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual, making it a great place to unwind. We particularly enjoy taking advantage of their meat specials when they have them. However, we find their grocery prices to be on the expensive side, so we don't shop for groceries there.

I had a polite experience with the phone customer service when I ordered for pickup. The lady was kind and double-checked my order to ensure it was correct. However, I was disappointed with the portion sizes of the beans and coleslaw—they were so small they resembled little condiment servings rather than actual side dishes. The ribs were decent, but nothing exceptional that would entice me to return, especially given the small sides; it just didn't seem worth the price. On a positive note, the restaurant was clean. I might consider going back to try some of their meats, as they offer a good selection, though they are on the pricier side. But I understand that prices have been increasing due to COVID.

I'm from San Antonio, Texas, and I arrived a little too late to try the BBQ. I ended up having a burger combo, which was great. The employees were very friendly, and the atmosphere was nice. I really wish I could have had the BBQ, but I’ll make sure to stop by earlier next time I’m in the area.

Passing through, remember this place from TV and wow. Was so good!!!! Dang!!

WOW! This place is 76 miles away from me and it is so good that me and my family will be buying our meat exclusively from them from now on! I cannot stress enough how badass is the meat quality and value. What's even better is that it doubles as a restaurant where the food on the menu is freaking delicious. If you like steaks, country cooking, and New Mexico's traditional unique takes on southern cuisine then you absolutely MUST stop by Kendall's anytime you are even remotely close to Hobbs!!! Bravo to Kendall's!!!
