Kafe Kara - Hobart

Man sitzt gemütlich und kann einen geniessbaren Kaffee trinken. Vielmehr gibt es meines Erachtens nicht zu sagen.

Happened to be in town on a Saturday around lunch time, thought we would try this out for lunch, big mistake. We sat outside in the sun, outside table was dirty, water glasses provided were not clean, water jug not clean, food very average, I could do better at home. Both waitresses were pleasant however one was was wearing gym clothes which I found inappropriate. Will not go back.

Step through the door to peace and quiet a lovely oasis on the middle of city. Not sure if whilst I have been away this Cafe has changed owners. There wasn't quite the same atmosphereWhilst the menu is limited,the luncheon menu has dishes which are light and wholesome. The waiter was very friendly and welcoming though we did feel he had only recently started work in hospitality. The meal of hot smoked salmon with salad was delicious. Nicely presented and the dressing was a great compliment to both fish and tomatoes. Coffe was good but could have been warmer.

Have been coming here for years & always enjoyed the food & coffee. A good quiet place to be able to meet friends & have a chat & be heard.

Convenient location, nice ambience but the menu and the food doesn't do it for me. No issues with the quality of the food or the service. Just its all so so. Nothing stands out and grabs your attention. Its not somewhere I would go back to when there are other better café options in the city.
