Toricho - Hiroshima

I live for 2 years in Hiroshima and have tried many yakitori restaurants. That was just the best! Thanks to the cheerful staff and the cook. I recommend this place, you will not regret it.

Owners are nice, spoke English to help us. English menu and prices provided. We were lucky because half of the room was reserved and they were already turning customers away. His speciality is wing and it was excellent! The meat was also cooked directly. He came to talk to us and showed us his fan and gave us two bandannas. Great place!

Charcoal grilled kushi niku, super tasty and they are very friendly. The cook even taught us how to eat with the spices. It's a little expensive for us, we spent about 5k yen for 2 people.

So an amazing little place! Fantastic yakitori and such friendly and welcoming people. The cook went out his way to explain in English what was available to us, showing us the different cuts as he fanned the coals and asked where we were from. He even gave me a little towel in the end. That's a nice touch. The lady who served us was so beautiful that she took the time to explain to us in English (she also spoke French! and chatted with other patrons (also tourists). The yakitori itself was absolutely delicious and good quality. The meatballs (both normal and special, chicken wing and tofu were my favorite and my companion loved the Gizzards and cartilage (not for all though). We'll be back before we're safe!

Delicious yakitori. They have an English menu and are extremely friendly to tourists. A must go when in Hiroshima!
