Sumo - Hinesville

I ordered the Teriyaki chicken. It wasn't the best I’ve ever had, but it was still enjoyable.

The restaurant's quality has declined compared to before, especially in the pre-pandemic era. I’ve visited sporadically over the past two years—about six or seven times—and I've noticed that the food quality has decreased, particularly the sushi. It seems to be more focused on takeout now. I also miss the dumplings that used to come with a robust dipping sauce and the red Sriracha-style chili pepper.

We recently tried an Asian restaurant for the first time. When we sat down, we noticed a shrimp crawling on the floor, so we decided to leave right away. We then went to the Filipino restaurant next door, but unfortunately, there was a dead roach on the floor there as well.

Extra broccoli, please! lol, this is the only way I order my garnel bowl. I am not a fanatic at all, 2-3 pieces are enough for me. but I love her brokkoli. sometimes I also get extra fried rice. this is a popular mother and pop shop in the city. I see that they have reopened the dining areas after covid has been boiled down. it is clean and cozy. I never have a problem with eating here.

I will try this place again, but my lunch experience was very underwhelming. I ordered doordash and got the 8 piece spicy tuna roll and a shrimp bowl with vegetables and fried rice. The rice was merely white rice mixed with soy sauce. The shrimp was flavorful. The bad part: no silver ware, no soy sauce and only three pieces of ginger came with the roll. The roll was orange colored denoting spicy but there was almost no tuna. It was full of filler. I have no idea what the filler was, but it had no flavor and was the vast majority of what was inside. I am very disappointed. I just moved here from California and will continue looking for a good Japanese restaurant. I heard sumo is supposed to be good, so they will get one more try.
