Having visited Buttercream for afternoon tea before, I loved the cozy ambiance with its vintage theme. When we met Jean and Ruth, I felt immediately reassured that we were in capable hands. They are such warm and friendly individuals who take great pride and passion in their work. I wanted a place where I would feel a personal touch rather than a cold, corporate vibe, and Buttercream delivered just that. They listened to our preferences and offered valuable advice throughout the planning process. On the actual day, everything was flawless and exactly as I had envisioned. The ladies have exceptional taste—the decorations and table settings were beautiful, and the food was outstanding! Every one of my guests raved about the meal, which was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. Jean is an incredible cook, and everything felt homemade, giving it a special touch. Jean also created our wedding cake, which was stunning, and once again, our guests couldn’t stop complimenting it! I cannot thank Jean, Ruth, and the entire Buttercream team enough for making our reception so memorable. I can't recommend them highly enough for anyone looking for a wedding reception venue. Thank you once again!

Could not recommend this place enough! ruth was a great host for my friends baby shower. we had the place for us and were treated so well. we had the afternoon. the food was delicious and exceptional value for money! will definitely return

I went for an afternoon tea with my other half and 7 year old. All staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious.They did an amazing job catering for my egg allergy and provided some tasty alternatives: cheese and tomato tart instead of quiche, jelly with cream instead of trifle and an egg free scone and cupcake along with finger sandwiches, salad, fruit and shortbread hearts. I will definitely be visiting again!
