Rita's Italian Ice - Hilton Head Island

We really enjoyed this ice cream shop. The ice flight allows you to sample four different flavors at once. The custard is also outstanding. It's a small space, but the quality of the product is excellent. There is some seating available as well. They offer a variety of ice cream flavors on different days.

Our daughter, who has celiac disease, absolutely loved the Italian ice at Rita's. It was a great option for a treat on the island! The only issue I had was that some of the staff seemed a bit lost when I inquired about gluten-free options.

The restaurant is back in business for Happy Rita's season! The staff, who are always young and polite, did a great job yesterday when we visited. They have plexiglass for protection, so be prepared to speak loudly so they can hear you. The quality of the food is as good as ever. The only issue is that we wish they had chocolate ice cream.
