Overbooked on Christmas , waited hrs after our reservation to get seated . Food was great

We made reservations several weeks in advance for Christmas night when we arrived at the restaurant we knew that there was going to be issues. The line was out the door . The problem apparently was chaos at the front management. The hostess was overwhelmed. People were waiting over an hour with reservations. The hostess had a huge problem keeping track of who was on first She would disappear to check on table status and come back forgetting who asked the question. I understand that it's Christmas, however. If you can't at least keep to a half hour past a reservation then don't take them. Do first come That way people will know where they stand. We waited at least an hour and a half. Once we were seated ,the Hibachi chef was great and the food was good. The chaos in the beginning put a cloud over what could have been a great experience..

The place was packed for Christmas. I don't think I would have reserved a table knowing there were going to be so many people. The food was ok, I don't have to return. We only had the hibachi so I'm not sure how the other food or sushi is.

Had Christmas dinner and extremely glad I made reservations and arrived around minutes early. The place was packed and people were standing outside. Service was a little slow but understandable it was Christmas. We were surprised to see the lack of masks especially with the servers and greeters; and forget the social distancing it's not happening here. I will try them again and definitely use Open Table for reservations or do take out.
