Pho 99 - Hilo

The broth is very delicious and the dipping sauces are unique without fish sauce.

No frills, but very flavorful authentic Vietnamese food. Most of Hilo had restaurants which were overhyped based on their reviews. Lack of A/C is a bit of a bummer especially when eating hot foods like pho. However, service was friendly and food was one of the best bowls of Pho I’ve had.

Must try if in Hilo. Food is amazing!! It’s a cute little restaurant run by grandma and grandpa.. grandma cooks and grandpa takes your order and serves you. It’s a hole in the wall and felt like I was in Vietnam.

One of the best Vietnamese food we had in recent times. The environment is basic, but the owner is very thoughtful, and the food is tasty. He makes sure that his customers like his food. Visit this place when you are in Hilo

We stopped by Pho 99 tonight for some soup after a 5 mile hike at Volcano National Park. It was amazing!
