Bidrage med feedbackIf you like frozen fish and chips which are pre-prepared my meal was on the table by the time I'd got back from ordering it at exorbitant prices then this is the place to eat when visiting the MCG. However, I'd steer...clear of the fish and chips and have some of the other meals off the limited menu my recollection from past visits is that the curry is okay. All in all a disappointing lunch-break experience.
The Hugh Trumble restaurant may not be fine dining, but it is a welcoming place with efficient service. The atmosphere is lively and designed for a quick meal rather than a leisurely sit-down experience. The bar area is also efficient, but prices are on the high side. Unfortunately, the quality of the meals was a disappointment. The Chicken Parma was dry and unimpressive, while the lamb kebabs were bland and unappetizing. In comparison to other dining options in the area, we will opt for the snack bar in the future. The main course meals do not meet the expectations of an exclusive club like the MCC.
It wasn’t a big crowd so when we arrived at midday we were able to walk straight in and sit at a table set up for It really needed to be bigger because there is a box on the table for cutlery and by...the time you add an ice bucket a bottle of red and a few glasses there is no room for plates. of the meals arrived so we asked them to track the other down and they did arrive but minutes after the first For some reason one of the wine glasses decided to shatter so maybe everything still needs to be tested a bit. The Parma is still a big tasty meal and there are reasonable wines even if they are a bit pricey.
We brought our international friends to dine here during the break of a one-day cricket match between Australia and England. We were impressed by the attentive staff, quick service for drinks and food, and the overall organization of the restaurant. The menu offers a variety of meals, reminiscent of a pub. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating, is wheelchair accessible, and has nearby restrooms.
For a quick dinner break at the ODI at the MCG, Trumbull Cafe is the perfect choice. We enjoyed a delicious meal of Parma, pot pie, fish and chips, along with a couple of bottles of MCC Shiraz. The key is to join the queue a few overs before the break, as the Cafe is quite popular. It is also wheelchair accessible.
