Bidrage med feedbackWhen this place was named 'Sharky's' many years ago it was the best casual seafood venue on the harbour, reasonably priced but above all great seafood. Unfortunately, with the name change (and obvious management change) this once great social venue has become just another disappointment on the harbour. Price hikes and quality failures were apparent as quickly as the restaurant changed names, the fish and chips once fresh and crisp now served soggy and tasteless. If I was to guess 'what went wrong' I would say the new management cut costs to increase profit, sending this once iconic quality eatery into the shipwreck it is today. What a shame.
Went for dinner tonight with hubby and the in laws. Ordered 2 seafood baskets and 2 fish and chips, onion rings and garlic bread. The garlic bread was hardly toasted and to thick. The onion rings were skinny battered but were overcooked and tasted just blah. The seafood baskets and fish and chips had way too much food but really good value. However the fish and seafood just tasted yuk. I am sorry but for a place like that we expected a lot better. I would have to regrettably say probably one of the worst fish and chips we have had.
Totally average and totally expensive. Wow! I expected fish to be so much bigger but so small and not even home made chips!! Where is the unique signature you want customers to walk away for there saying wow! I suppose being English and having great fish and chips you expect to much from the fish and chip shops here
I ordered the small sized fish and chips as we came in a big group. It was quite substandard. The serving size was really large, but the quality was bad. The batter was too thick, and the fish was chewy??? The chips were also soggy.
Disgusting! Squid tasted boiled and no flavour besides a bit of crumbs and pepper.. The chips were super dry and were hard to swallow and the fish was chewy and also dry. Hard to believe when we have the ocean right behind us! Worst fish and chips ever! I feel sick!
