Schlafly Highland Square

My wife got a burger and I got the jagerschnitzel, both were pretty good. The service was great. The atmosphere, it was too bright. My wife mentioned that it would be nice if they dimmed the lights a bit. They do have a neat outdoor area.

Stopped in after dress shopping. Food was ok but over priced. There was only my table and another there, so mostly empty, and service was slow and unattentive to say the least.One order was wrong. Soup was cold. The Moscato was the best part of the experience. For spending over $100, it was not worth it.

Out of all the fall beers. So finally got my third choice on beer. Hamburger was fantasticKid-friendliness: Tolerant of children even when a little unruly lol.

This place came as a recommendation of my cousin that lives here. He told me a store of how he our grandmother came to this place when it was the First National Bank in the 1960's. He even showed me the bank that the place gave him when he was a kid. (See picture of the bank.)This place was great! It even has the original vault behind the bar. They sell t- shirts, stickers pins as souvenirs. They even have an outside beer garden area that you can sit at if the weather coopWe had beers with lunch. The house salad with grilled chicken and flatbread were very good!The beers were good too. I would return to this place!

I love the beer battered fish with malt vinegar and hermann potato salad. Also love the beer cheese soup and turkey burger. The outside area is nice. Inside could have some cool pictures on wall. Great place in beautiful highland square.
