Bidrage med feedbackWe had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant during our stay at the Castle. I was unsure of what to expect at first, as I am more of a burger and fries person and thought it might be too fancy with small portions. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The food was outstanding. We opted for the 3-course menu with wine pairings and each dish was amazing. I left feeling satisfied and eager to return. The staff were attentive but not intrusive, which was perfect in my book. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a peaceful meal where you leave feeling pampered.
Our group enjoyed two lovely meals in this restaurant and congratulations to the chefs for producing such delicious and beautifully presented dishes. Very reasonably priced for the quality. Slightly unusual in the the choices are between tasting menus without A la Carte options albeit possibly to make the whole offering manageable.
We had an impeccably presented 5 course dinner, including drinks, for £50 per head. That’s exceptional value for money considering the quality. Adventurous and delicious, portion sizes just right, and good service. My only criticism is the rather odd name, which almost put me off booking in the first place but I’m glad I did and will no doubt be back.
This restaurant is one of our favorites! The chef is amazing and we have been here many times for the set menu and wine pairings. We are always impressed by the flavors of each course, especially the black pudding bread - it's the best in the world! The decor doesn't quite match the "fine dining" description, but it is unique. A warmer, more intimate atmosphere would enhance the overall impression. The service can be a bit hit or miss, with some delays in getting noticed or receiving drinks, and sometimes difficulty understanding the waitstaff due to strong accents. The restaurant is also quite cold, requiring diners to keep their jackets on, which was disappointing as we had dressed up for the occasion. We would appreciate a shuttle service to the city center for easier access to gin/wine pairings. Despite these issues, we give this restaurant 5 stars because the food is outstanding and with a few adjustments, it could be the best dining experience in Inverness.
I ate at this restaurant while staying at the hotel. The restaurant is located in a separate building and has a pleasant atmosphere. The food is excellent, with a great mix of textures and flavors. The service is good and not too pushy. The prices are fair. The portions are a bit small, but you can ask for a second serving of bread, which is nice.
