Strupag Brasserie - Highland

I stopped for dinner at this restaurant and found the main course to be mostly inedible. The atmosphere felt tired and in need of an upgrade. It was not busy, except for a few workers having a beer outside. I was disappointed, especially considering there are other dining options in the area. I heard it may be under new management, so there is a possibility of improvement, but I am not sure if I will give it another try.

I had lunch at this bar on June 1st and the food was excellent and fresh. The service was good and quick.

My husband and I dined at this restaurant twice this week and we were very pleased with the quality of the food, the service, and the affordable prices. We tried the daily specials - pork and beef roast, chicken and vegetable fajitas, and haddock with chips and salad. The portions were generous and the dishes were served promptly and efficiently. Overall, we were extremely satisfied and couldn't find any faults with the restaurant.

We enjoyed our meal in this slightly old fashioned (in a nice way) hotel restaurant/bar the ham hock terrine was very tasty, served with a salad garnish and chutneys; the chicken fajitas announced their arrival with loud sizzling, and were as delicious as they sounded. The staff were friendly, efficient and obliging, and the meal was very reasonably priced.

Strupag blends good and friendly service, an extensive menu and pleasant ambience with very reasonable pricing. This is the best pub/hotel place locally and there is no complacency, unlike certain other local hotels. Highly recommended.
