Scottish Steakhouse - Highland

I had an excellent dinner here, and have come back several times already, some of the best food I have tried in the Highlands!

Brilliant Venue, well priced and the food was amazing, Kudos to the chefs. Anna and Amy were the staff members that served us. Both members of staff were attentive and looked after us amazingly. The female manager however was not so welcoming.

The restaurant has been rebranded as a bar and grill but has basically the same menu. One of the main criticisms I read was the limited menu. We had looked at this prior to booking and whilst it doesn't have a large choice it does have a good range and no one struggled to find something that appealed to them. The staff were friendly and attentive, though it wasn't busy and they would have struggled if it had been, we were there on a Saturday at the end of April. All of the food was delicious and the portions were good. The restaurant is connected via the bar to the main bar, which had live music and karaoke. At times that was interesting but it didn't detract from our enjoyment of the meal. After 9pm the number of waiters dropped noticeably. This had no impact on us but I wouldn't recommend a late evening booking. For an option that is easily walkable from the lodges I would definitely recommend.
