Bidrage med feedbackDuring our camping trip in Kilchoan, we often walked to the town center for breakfast. I highly suggest trying the bacon sandwiches.
We took the ferry to Mull and visited Kilchoan, where we stopped for tea and cake at this charming café. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
The Kilchoan Community Centre is fantastic. We have visited many times before and decided to stop in for lunch during a particularly wild week of weather in February. Despite the storm force winds and snow, we received a warm welcome from a lovely woman. I ordered the delicious tomato and vegetable soup with gluten-free oatcakes, while my companion enjoyed the lentil soup and a tasty ham and cheese toastie with a side salad. We finished off our meal with some lovely cake and also purchased some lovely gifts from the center. It's a wonderful place run by the community, for the community. I highly recommend supporting it, as it is truly worth it.
Kilchoan Community Centre is a great place just minutes from the ferry long may it continue. There's a friendly cafe, wee gift shop, second hand books, some geological exhibits, a games room, a gym hall you can hire if the weather is bad, even some showers, and one of the most fantastic play parks just outside.
