Bidrage med feedbackStaff unfriendly and unprofessional, teenage girls with bad attitude. Food a shadow of its former self. Small fish and chips now comes without salad or crushed peas but up in price yet again.
Arrived at 10.30, not particularly busy. Lot of people had already been served. One large group at a single table had already received their breakfasts. We were shown to our table and given the menus. Five or so minutes later the waitress came back to the table and we thought she was going to take our order, but instead she advised us that they had a large unexpected group of people to cater for, who I may add, could not be seen, and that we would have a long wait for service even though she did not even ask us what we wanted to order. It was in fact a coffee and a breakfast roll. We often visit Househill, but the customer service today was shocking......needless to say we left and were very unhappy at how we had been treated. Been going there for years, and always had great service from previous owners, but won't be returning.
Yet another disappointing Sunday morning at Househill Cafe Farmshop, this is now the 7th time we have been refused breakfast. For 7 years we have been going here, usually every other Sunday for breakfast in the past, but since the new owners took over, even when you arrive 13 minutes BEFORE the stated 'last orders for breakfast ' time, they still say no...... Why state last orders for breakfast is 11.15 then say it is too late at 11.02??? Liz sent a polite message explaining our frustration.......There were only about 8 cars in the car-park, there were at least 8 or 10 empty tables.....only to be sent this slightly sarky reply....... Obviously customer service is not a priority....... Need to book!!!! So in a holiday area they cannot handle passing trade?? This is their reply: This only happens when we are very busy. We aim to get everyone in for breakfast but on busy days we can’t always do that. We have a booking system to get people in at a reasonable time but we are a very popular place for breakfast and unfortunately can’t keep everyone happy. And turning up under 15 minutes before the end of breakfast on a Sunday isn’t the best option for getting breakfast. We are sorry we couldn’t give you the experience you were looking for and hope you find somewhere that can accommodate you on what will be the busiest day of the week for most restaurants. Such a shame, used to be a lovely warm and friendly place.......
Excited to see the new shop and restaurant area. Booked a table. 20 mins wait to order drinks. Told we couldn 't order food yet as kitchen backed up (place wasn 't full) Once we did order food came very quickly. Burgers nice but could 've done with salad garnish or something else £15 felt a bit steep. Same with fish and chips, peas or garnish would have made a real difference. Two young waitresses seemed sweet but just milling about about behind the till. Just one woman taking orders. no one checked if our food was okay, no one came once we 'd finished, we ended up leaving without coffees/cake. Just felt that with a tweak this place could be really super....but lacking a bit of care and attention.
Nice environment and nicely cooked food but a high price point for it and not accurate on our order Other vendors are interesting, due to price point for food we didn’t buy in the shop. Badged as a farm shop but not much produce
