Borgie Lodge - Highland

Once you find this place you wont want to leave, just as well as it stands alone in a beautiful part of the world. Dinner was great, hoteliers very helpful and friendly !

We were given the warmest of welcomes on a stormy day. We had a quick tour of the house and all the toasty wood burners that were lit. Our room was large and comfortable with all the facilities you might like eg water, biscuits, tea coffee etc Lovely Scottish toiletries in a modern and clean bathroom. The food at dinner was delicious and the bar well stocked. The Scottish breakfast was superb. The owners are a big hands on part of their small team at Borgie and deliver a great level of service, attention to detail and a very nice informal friendly atmosphere. Borgie was recommended to us and we will certainly be passing that recommendation on to anyone we meet who plans to do the NC500.

Just go ! Quiet spot just a half mile from the nc500 with friendly staff and splendid food ! Dinner was fab and struggling to know where the breakfast omelette squeezed in my stomach but i wasn't leaving any ! Very tranquil spot and if your lucky you may see the northern lights.

Such a contradiction with the previous hotel we stayed in ... We were welcomed in such a friendly way, got a quick tour of the facilities of the hotel. Then we went to our room, spacious and modern. Before diner we had a drink in the bar. We were served by the very friendly staff and tasted a delicious Gin Tonic, recommended by the bar tender. Then we went to the restaurant for our diner. It was delicious ! This hotel/restaurant is a hidden little gem in the region, and I would definitely recommend this place.

Me and my family been coming to tongue over 70 years our dad came from tongue every year we call in borgie for drink and chat but this time Friday 4th August we went in there and stood and waited and waited young bloke behind the bar never even spoke to us he was very ignorant and we walked out we will never set foot in there again
