Banh Street - Highett

We used to be weekly customers but the quality has gone down hill so badly that we won’t be back. Stale rolls, little if any pâté, no butter, no mayo and little if any sauce and there were 4 or 5 pieces of chicken. Simply so dry it was difficult to eat. Such a shame. The blandest Banh Mi I have ever had. $1 extra for Crispy Pork and it was like rubber. Nothing crispy about it at all. There was an absolute mountain of carrot to fill the roll and make up for everything else that you weren't getting. The Fried Chicken was super dry. The included sauce was maybe enough to fill half a teaspoon! Never ordering from here again. Terrible.

Food portion and quality has really gone downhill since we last went here. Plus some of the sauces hardly had any sauce in them. Sorry to say but we won't be back anytime soon. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: A$40–60

Dropped into this local grocery and cafe for a Banh Mi Roast pork no chilli and a drink. We enjoyed it, but will never get the same as the local one in Bentleigh that is no longer there. We had the baguette roll. There wasn't as much filling as other places, but still tasty as you would expect. Maybe you might also want something else with the roll for lunch. Will definitely come back again now that I know it's here. Quick and friendly service. Good looking Vietnamese themed fit out, although the ice cream machine hasn't been dressed up and looked odd to the resr of the fitout.

The best! Such a wonderful gem, with delicious food and great service.
