Bidrage med feedbackThe restaurant has lovely large windows. We opted for the a la carte breakfast, which was complimentary, so we cannot comment on the prices. The service was excellent and the food was a delightful surprise.
We stopped for breakfast and were a bit disappointed with the service and food. There was hardly anybody there and the food took a long time to come and it was only warm and the coffee wasn't very hot either. We'll probably find another place for breakfast when going thru High River in the future.
First off the staff was fantastic and it was super busy due to several families in town for kids' sports. The salad bar was scant and unappetizing and our meals were quite bland. One member in our party ordered a salad and the lettuce was wilted, black, and a bit slimy. Although it was missing the meat as noted on the menu, our server apologized profusely and brought an extra large portion from the kitchen. Unfortunately it was deepfried in what tasted like carnival oil. Again, the staff was superb, but the food was terrible.
We arrived at the restaurant just before noon and were pleased to find out that they offered a Senior's Rate starting at age 55 for the Sunday Brunch. However, our arrival was confusing as no one greeted us and there was no sign indicating whether we should seat ourselves. It was difficult to get any server's attention. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing and not worth the money. The worst part was the pierogies, which were clearly frozen and machine-made, and had a dry, tough texture. The roast beef also seemed overcooked and dried out. The Eggs Benedict, which should have been a highlight, consisted of a poached egg (not real) on a slice of processed ham on a half of a dry English muffin without butter. The remaining salad items were mediocre and uninspired. The waffle station served pre-cut toaster waffles, and the dessert station had pies from the grocery store. There was only one tiny square of jello left. Overall, this experience did not leave a good impression of the restaurant, showing a lack of care from the chef or management.
We have been here for supper a number of times. The food is pretty average, nothing gourmet. Kids meals are only $3.50 and they have at least 8 choices including a grilled chicken breast. Also a value for seniors as they get a soup, salad, meal, drink and dessert for about $12.95. There is a salad bar, it's not grand but has the basics. Grilled chicken parmesan was good. This restaurant is located inside the Heritage Inn Hotel.
