Firehouse Subs Deep River - High Point

Closed at 3:30 in the afternoon? No sign on the door. Very strange. Not the first time I’ve had probables at this store. That’s ok. Jimmy John’s is right around the corner and I Never have problems there.

Additionally, I noticed the cleaning staff member was wearing revealing underwear, which was quite off-putting. If I were the owner, I would have serious concerns about the three employees behind the counter—a guy and a girl who just don’t seem to understand the importance of customer satisfaction. One would think that even those without extensive experience would recognize that customer trust is essential, yet it appears they don’t prioritize this at Firehouse. Please refrain from responding, Mr. Owner, because if you haven't figured things out by now, it’s unlikely that you ever will. You’re going to keep losing customers until, eventually, you might have to close your doors. I won’t be returning. It's sad, because this used to be a great Firehouse. I recommend checking out the other locations in Greensboro and Kernersville where I’ve had much better experiences. It seems this location has a poor management problem. That’s all I have to say.

I arrived at 2:30 and ordered the new triple stack sub, but it turned out to be quite disappointing. I opted for the medium size, and they only put about 3 ounces of meat on it, which definitely felt like a rip-off given the price. Additionally, the staff's attitudes were not welcoming. They were switching between making subs and cleaning tables without changing their gloves, which is concerning. One employee had difficulty keeping his pants up, inadvertently exposing his underwear to my family, which is unacceptable in a restaurant setting. Overall, my experience at Firehouse Subs was quite unpleasant. I would only consider coming back if I were really desperate. It's a shame they don't have employees like those at Chick-fil-A or Dairy Queen, as that would likely boost their business significantly.

The place has a 94 sanitation grade. It’s just as nasty as it sounds. There are so many things that I could say about this place ranging from the employees. They have working there to being asked to tip before I even taste my sandwich to the nasty tables that have clearly not been wiped down. I’m just going to say, save your money if you don’t like eating in filth.

I had a troubling experience at this restaurant that I feel compelled to share. I witnessed an employee use the restroom and then proceed to handle cash without washing his hands, immediately followed by making sandwiches without wearing gloves. Additionally, I saw another worker chatting on her cell phone while scratching her head while wearing gloves, and then she had the audacity to prepare sandwiches without washing her hands or changing her gloves. When I politely asked her to change her gloves before making my sandwich, she reacted rudely, stating she didn’t feel like changing them, and told me I could leave if I didn’t like it. I will not be returning to this business, and I urge others to stay away if you value your health.
