The Royal Oak - High Peak

It took over 20 minutes for the staff to come to our table and another 10 minutes to take our food order. We eventually had to go pick up our food order at the kitchen ourselves. When we checked our room, it was the wrong one and the staff were not willing to accommodate us. They also refused to refund our money. This is definitely not a place worth staying at.

The quality of the food is excellent, the staff are all friendly and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble, it has an extremely relaxing ambiance. There were four of us in our party and we all agreed we shall definitely be returning. They deserve all of the credit due to them I can’t rate them highly enough, pay them a visit you will be pleased that you did.

As local residents of Chapel, we wanted to add our comments of recent enjoyment of your beer and pizza. We always pop in when we want a quick pizza. It is the best in the area, hot and fresh, tasty and well priced.

This is a family-owned pub and restaurant that we visited twice during our trip. The second visit was to the restaurant and we were thoroughly impressed. Despite the large menu, the food was outstanding - expertly prepared and presented, with a homemade touch. The menu descriptions fall short in capturing how delicious the dishes truly are. We would highly recommend trying this place out.

Food worth waiting for as meals freshly prepared. Amazing homemade calzone. Large portions you will not come away from this place hungry!
