Bidrage med feedbackI used to enjoy coming here for breakfast! The cafe was always busy on Sunday mornings. However, when I visited this morning, it was empty. I wanted to have breakfast, but they had signs posted everywhere stating a minimum card payment of £15! Their breakfasts usually cost around £8-10. Since I didn't have cash on me, I decided to leave and go to another nearby cafe that didn't have the £15 restriction. It's 2023, and many people no longer carry cash. It would make more sense if the minimum charge was £5. Perhaps this is why the cafe is empty.
My husband and I frequently have breakfast or lunch at this restaurant on Saturdays and we always have a great experience. The service is attentive, the staff is friendly, and the food is very good - always fresh and tasty with a good selection on the menu. The restaurant is consistently clean and tidy. The servers are exceptionally helpful and chatty, and they even anticipate our preferences now. We once had to go somewhere else when they closed for Covid and it was a disaster.
My daughter and I usually enjoy having a hearty and delicious breakfast at Tudor Dinner, but our recent visit was disappointing. We ordered the D1 selection, which came with overcooked baked beans that ruined the taste and sausages that lacked flavor. We won't be returning to this restaurant again.
Four of us had breakfast here. I ordered smoked salmon, poached eggs and grilled tomatoes. The eggs were steamed not poached and the tomatoes only partially cooked. The beer was good.
I’ve been coming to this cafe for over 20 years, and although it has changed hands, it is by far the best food for a working mans breakfast around. I would easily travel the extra miles to have the bubble or fried potatoes. And there’s always a nice hello as you walk through the door.
