Family lunch. Friendly staff and sat at table immediately. Reduced menu on Sunday but good choice and all freshly cooked and home made. Excellent price and quality.

Called the pub to ask if we could use TasteCard. They said yes and that their kitchen would take last orders by 2:30pm (Saturday). We got there just after 2:30pm and were happy to hear that we could order. I really recommend the cod and chips. Really big, fresh piece of cod in a light, crispy batter. Freshly cooked chips and bright peas. I hear the steak and ale pie is delicious and comes with well cooked vegetables. No room for pudding but they looked good. Highly recommended for the food. The pub itself can use a refit to bring it into modern times. Small changes can see big improvements.
