Bidrage med feedbackWe took our kids 5, 5 and 8 to Hershey park last weekend and 90% of the kids rides were not running at all! There was no notification about this on the website, in fact it stated that during Halloween season that they were running. My kids were so disappointed and we spent so much money for them to just walk around and they got to ride 3 rides. And because most of the kids rides were closed, we had to wait in super long lines for them. Their response after asking why this was happening was it 's because of Dark Nights which starts at 6pm. We got there at opening which was noon. This trip which is almost 2 hour drive and cost over $300 for our family for little to nothing. Terrible experience
I love Hershey Park as I take my family every year for the past 5-7 years straight. I am able to get group tickets for a minimum of 20 tickets or more which is a true savings. I also purchase the parking pass with was $20 in advance and $25 at the door which has went up from 2022 to 2023. There is a tram that drops you right at the front door of the park including Chocolate World. The tram runs all day back and forth. The front entrance has been remodeled which is nice however, I haven't had time to truly explore as of yet. I was able to bring in two bottles of water which was a cost savings for drinking so many soft drinks throughout the day. The sovereign cups have went up to about $20 per cup and the drink fill up stations allows you to scan with a few seconds to get your beverage.....so please get your ice first as the timer starts as soon as you scan the barcode on the cup. On hot days, Of course the water park is completely plum full with hardly any where to sit to park your belongings. I try to take off of work and plan for mid week days which allows for a better experience with less crowds. Also, The water park is towards the back of park so be prepared to walk. The cons about the park~ The park closes early 8pm which I feel a later closing time will worked so much better. Chocolate World closes at the same time as the park which it use to stay open 1 hour after the park closed which allows time to explore the activities inside. A lot of the kiddie rides did not have attendants to operate which they were closed. I will be returning next summer during the week day as I did not get a chance to get on their newest ride.
Visited Hershey with someone who never rode a rollercoaster. Parking: There are no clear parking instructions for handicap parking, so we had to walk pretty far only to get to the front entrance and saw a few handicap parking spots. The day was awesome! There weren't many people in the park, so the lines were short. Candymoniun was the first Rollercoaster we rode and OMG!!! It was awesome!! That 216-foot drop was crazy!!!!! I hadn't rode a coaster in over 20 years, but this brought me back to the excitement!!!We rode the oldest coazter at Hershey Park, the comet, and it was a little jerky! It shook my ponytail loose!! Lol, I had to hold that and my neck for the remainder of the ride. If you're seasoned and or have hack problems, DO NOT ride!! The games were old school and bright back memories. They have a section for the smaller children and activities like face painting. This is definitely a place to bring your family. Hershey Park offers food and drink packages, and some offerings are unlimited. I would purchase that if you're coming with a family because it could get pricey. The food offered were burgers, hot dogs, fries, chicken strips, and pizza. The price and portion didn't add up. It wasn't that good. The lemonade wasn't bad. Suggestion: Pre purchase online your food, drink, and parking. It's so convenient. Overall, the day was good, and I would go back. I hope you have a pleasant experience.
Operations are not up to amusement park standard. Visited Labor Day 2023, clear lack of training and operational know how was present in all parts of the park. First, the engineering of the parking lot is not able to handle any significant rush or load more then say 50 cars at a time. Things get bottlenecked and cause significant back ups. They have the room to improve on this but don't expect it to.Ride Ops: There is no urgency with any ride operations at this park. Most employees are engaged in conversations with one another rather than loading and unloading of guests and ensuring smooth and quick operations. Training and supervision need to improve.I'd be rich if I made money for the number of other guest who cut lines. Sorry but if your friends or family are ahead of me in line, they can come back and meet you, they aren't there to save your spot, my guess is Italians and hillbillies don't understand common decency and that line jumping can mean expulsion from the park, though i doubt that would be enforced since there was really no security presence throughout the day. Hershey was a quality park, there is no doubt that they invest in new rides when they can, however many of the older rides are neglected most likely due rising maintenance costs and inability to hire quality personnel, this is evident by the number of attractions that won't be operating when you visit and the number of rides that are on an extended closure. The top attractions do operate but are subject to frequent breakdowns. But don't expect any giveback from the park, its the typical carnival scam, they get your money and won't provide refunds. The workforce numbers need to improve in order to provide a truly great guest experience.
Great place!I've been here several times and loved each and every visit.I loved going here especially when my daughter was a kid. She rode her first roller coaster(Comet here. Then she became addicted to the thrill :DThe water rides and and wave pool are fun. I used to love riding the Roller Soaker back in the day before they removed it.There are plenty of great rides here for all types of thrill seekers. Their Ferris wheel is great as well.I've ate many things while here and it's your typical amusement park foods with a Hershey twist, ha!The chocolate tour is amazing! All in all this is probably one of the most chill and laid back amusement parks there is.Enjoy and don't eat too much chocolate;
