Big Muddy Coffee Co - Hernando

This charming coffee shop offers delicious food and has a commendable catering service. I've placed several pickup orders and thoroughly enjoyed each one. The staff is friendly and welcoming. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

I went for the chicken and dumplings. They do a different name plate each day. You can join their Facebook page to see what they are doing each day and place an order if you would like for dinner. The chicken and dumplings were very good and home style and seem to be made from scratch.

We drove down hwy 55 and were happy to find this little coffee shop just a few minutes from the highway. The shop has framed a few stands with sheet metal, and the host was really friendly. During the busy times it could be hard to find a parking lot, but we had no problem (after 10 a.m.). The Chai tea was on par with other coffee shops and they have a special “Indian style” with sweet cream that my wife enjoyed. I ordered almost a drip coffee, but the “big muddy” on the menu noticed an espresso drink with sweet cream. It was great! I ordered a big one, and was surprised with the “Tallness” the cup! We also tried a blueberry cake and it was a little sweet, not too dry, not too humid, and is big enough to share with someone else (if you don't mind fighting over the last bite! We would definitely come back if the timing is correct.

Big Muddy is one of my favorite places for breakfast. They serve the absolute best sausage balls and muffins in the city. Everyone enjoys their unique coffee selections. The staff is fantastic and the prices are reasonable. As someone of color, it’s important to me that my family feels safe while dining out. The owner is kind and welcoming, and he remembers our names and dietary preferences. It's always a positive experience here. If you’re looking for delicious food, fair prices, and exceptional service, I highly recommend Big Muddy!

This restaurant has received fantastic reviews, and I'm so glad we decided to stop by while passing through the city. The customers and owners were incredibly friendly.
