Chikuyo Tei - Hermitage

I had a fantastic experience at the restaurant. The Sashimi Deluxe was delicious and beautifully presented, featuring a display of dry ice and frozen fish.

What a gem! We had an amazing experience with top-notch service, and the sushi and hibachi were fantastic! The scallops were large and perfectly cooked, and the lunch specials offered a generous portion. The sashimi was incredibly fresh, and although I can’t recall the name of the roll we tried, it was absolutely delicious! I will definitely return, as the prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you get.

I always enjoy their lunches! The sushi is excellent, and the hibachi is great too! However, I wouldn't recommend the bento box or the orange chicken. My favorites are the sushi, soup, salad, and hibachi dishes.

Honestly, this is one of the best sushi spots in Nashville. I was told that I should come here several times, but I was always hesitant because I was a little biased when it comes to sushi, living in Japan for some time. Any role I had has surpassed what I originally thought it would be. We also ordered beef and broccoli from here and beef was extremely tender and the broccoli was cooked for perfection. Appetizers like crabs Rangoon and Gyoza were also on point.

Wow this place is something special. I ordered takeout and was blown away by the quality of the food. I’m a huge soup person (weird, I know) and had never heard of kari soup before, so I had to try it. My only complaint? It was so good that I couldn’t stop eating it. It was a ton of soup and I would have loved to save some for lunch the next day, but I literally couldn’t stop eating it. Not to mention that shrimp were perfect plenty of restaurants around Nashville use mediocre shrimp and/or cook them poorly. But this place has quality ingredients AND cooks the shrimp perfectly. My fiancé got the hibachi and, once again, the only complaint is that it’s so good he couldn’t stop eating it, so no leftovers for him! I stole some of the veggies and rice from his hibachi and it was probably the best hibachi I’ve had around Nashville. Their sauces or on point, their ingredients are high quality, and the portion sizes are very generous. TLDR: This place is underrated and you shouldn’t hesitate to order from here
