La Hacienda Mexican - Herington

I always enjoy the food at this restaurant. The staff is very respectful and polite. It's a local family-owned establishment, and they are constantly working on projects to enhance the restaurant. The Mexican cuisine is authentic! The restaurant has been renamed La Isla, but you can still expect the same great food.

California Chicken Burrito is the best! Still the best! Now known as La Isla! Shrimp enchiladas, top 5! Today I had the shrimp burrito! Excellent! Large shrimp!

Daily specials are available, and meals are served hot. The flavors are delicious. Be sure to try the Mexican Hamburger—it's enormous! It features two patties, a hotdog sliced in half, tomatoes, lettuce, and a generous amount of cheese. It comes with a side of French fries.

I recently relocated from California and was concerned that I wouldn't be able to find good restaurants here. My initial experiences weren't great, but I've noticed a significant improvement over the past year since I've been going. During my latest visit, I finally decided to give them a rating. I ordered some really spicy chicken soup, and they absolutely delivered! It's often the case that many Hispanic restaurants in Kansas shy away from adding spice, so it was a delightful surprise.

Mixed drinks are definitely not recommended there. Your best options are beer or soda. As for the food...
