Village Cafe at Whiteman Park

I was pleasantly surprised when I visited here today. We visited expecting a plain boring menu you'd expect at a corner deli or the like. We ordered the BLT and the Bacon & Egg Sandwich, both that we would recommend. For the price we paid I was blown away, something like that out on the foreshore would cost upwards of $15, and side chips were only $3. The taste was amazing, especially as we were expecting a so-so sandwich. We will be coming back again!

Two of us had a wonderful breakfast in this café and will certainly be back for more. There is plenty of seating, inside and out, and the staff are very pleasant.

We lunched here on a visit to the park. Service was good as was the food and coffee. Well located near the visitor centre.

We decided to increase our exercise by an early bike ride in whitemans park, then finishing off at the village cafe for breakfast. It has been many years since visiting the park and it was so good to see how many families take the opportunity to use the amazing facilities available in the park. The cafe overlooks the village and the water playground, making the atmosphere very relaxing. You have the choice of inside with airconditioning (which we chose on a very hot morning) or outside. We ordered avacardo smash, which we shared, and I'm really glad we did, it was huge and very tasty. The coffee was very good, I had a cappuccino and my husband opted for iced coffee. Of course I had to have a taste test of his iced coffee, which was icy cold and delicious. We enjoyed our little escapade so much intend on repeating the exercise again this weekend.
