A Day In The Country - Hendersonville

My first time here and I loved it! I enjoyed a healthy, fresh boil salad. Broccoli Cornbread, so moist and a new favorite. So delicious! The atmosphere outside on the veranda was beautiful today. Wonderful, friendly service. Great gift shop tas good.

It is located in a large house with a gift shop on the second floor and several verandas on the first floor. The staff is really nice and the menu has a variety of soups, sandwiches and salads. Many of the dishes contain nuts listed on the menu. This limited my choices. Average prices are around $12,.00 to_$16.00. Nice place for a birthday party, baby or shower, or anniversary, party.

Fun place for lunch and gift shop browsing. I love the outside seat and the menu is diverse.

I have made my review a year ago and updated it now (10/2019). I love this place and visit Asheville every year, and this place is a MUST for my time in the area. Once again I had the turkey sandwich (minus of turkey, since I'm vegetarian, they put this request). My mother had a special egg salad on a croissant, with crisp bacon on it (she is NOT vegetarian... She said it was amazing. And again I had the orange cake for Dessert soooo good. The servers are really nice and super attentive. I love this place and come back as long as I get to the area. You cannot go wrong; there's parking, place is clean, food and service are exemplary, and I love the presentation of the foods that I have presented to other ' records and everything is so beautiful. It's really a great little place! I will be back next year (from October 2018): This is a large small place in a super cute frame house. I eat here every time I come to Hendersonville. You have great soups and sandwiches and the best potato salad EVER. The service is always good, and the place is clean and the food is wonderful. I'm vegetarian, so I get a sandwich that would normally have turkey on leaving the turkey and they always perfectly fulfill my special desire. Today I got the sandwich again and left the turkey away. It comes on the MOST amazing cranberry roll with fresh salad it is really a delicious sandwich. My mother had the same, only she left the Provolone cheese and had the turkey on her 's as usual, they have received this particular request. We sat there trying to find out where the potato salad was the absolute best, but we couldn't. It's really good and I get it all the time. There are also other good looking sides. A good thing, you can get half a sandwich if you are not a big eater (I am! . Service is always fast and very good. They keep the tables clean and the place is very welcoming. You command the door as you come in. You pay there, get a number, and a server will bring you your food. Be SURE to look at the desserts that they are so fresh and good and quite cheap compared to what I am used to. I always go for the orange cake, but the sweet lady who took orders today beat an apple dumping she said they were fresh and so good. I said, okay and my mother and I shared it. They were nice enough to cut it into half and put it on separate plates; I guess so. It came with a good whipped cream and a doll of acid cream on the top. Sounds weird, doesn't it? The emptying was fantastic. The shop is cute with many unique gifts. Parking is free on site and there are indoor seats (cute place!) as well as a wonderful covered veranda when the weather is beautiful. You'll go right past this place if you're not looking for it. Coming from Hendersonville on the main road after crossing the Interstate, slowly go, it is a right curve. Nice house in the country!
