Bidrage med feedbackOld school seafood place with a few updates. I love an old school atmosphere that provides this place in spades. The food was good, but not good enough to justify the prices that exceeded inflation in order to say the least. Our server, Eric, was excellent. The selection and quality of desserts is probably the best redeeming quality of this facility that brings it from a 3 to a 4 in my book. I couldn't finish the film of German chocolate cake, which I had ordered for the rest of the weekend. Many free parking.
The food was very good. Friede Scallops were big, nice fried and surprisingly delicious, without too much bread. Baked chicken livers were really good. The food wasn't fat. Portions were generous. There are cocktail sauce, tartaric acid and ketchup at the table. The black forest cheese cake should die. The waiting staff was busy, but pleasant. The prices were definitely on the high side, you will spend $30 to get a beautiful seafood plate, and there is a heavy charge for oysters or scallops, but the food was not disappointed and the waitress threw a few extras for us free. The marine and ocean decorations are pleasant. Much better than I was hoping from a mountain sea restaurant and worth a visit if you are looking for seafood.
Great seafood. Perfectly seasoned with a good deep fry. Not fat. Excellent culinary experience with amazing service! Will definitely be back when in North Carolina!
My husband and I had dinner tonight when we got through. This place was absolutely amazing! The food was excellent. The portions are large and high quality. I definitely go back when I'm in the area. I recommend you go early. They were packed when we were gone and a long number of people were waiting for place. The only side below is that it was only short staff and the waitress seemed somewhat overwhelmed.
Our server Tyler was awesome! My fish tacos were decent but the other guests I was with did not enjoy their food. Maybe we were there on an off night.
