Sal's Italian - Henderson

Sal's is a hidden gem in small town. My wife and I were going to eat at a Mexican restaurant in the area but decided to check out Sal's. We love going to places that are hidden, and this place can definitely be missed if you aren't looking for it. The food is legitimate, and the staff is great. The prices are decent and the food selection is broad. I have eaten multiple entrees and haven't been disappointed yet. My favorite item is definitely the Osso Buco. If you're a Veal lover, then this item is for you. They don't always have it because it's a specialty, but I do ask for every time we go. Sal's is authentic and worth a try. I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a while, so me and my 2 kids went. Service wasn't the best, I had to keep getting the waiter attention to come to our table. But she was constantly going to the table across from us asking if they needed anything else and we were seated before them. The food was OK. Not the Italian experience I expected. The pizza was very greasey, and the calamari had no flavor. Service needs to improve and more love needs to be put in the food. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

The dinner did taste good ..but when gotten home all family was sick badly The appetizers were small only 4 mushrooms. The food was nothing like i expected or anything like what i read from others reviews. I ordered Chicken Parmesan and the chicken was not even eatable, it tasted like something out of frozen bag and microwaved. The noodles had no flavor and just all the way around disgusting that I was unable to eat it. My husband ordered one of the Salmon dishes, which also was not pleasing. Neither one of us were able to eat our dinner. Once received the ticket, I was so embarrassed (i've never been in this type of situation before) asking if there could be some kind of discount since it was obvious none of the food had been ate. The sweet waitress said she'd ask the owner, and immediately came back that the owner said no not at all. The least the owner could had done was approach our table and say something instead of giving me a death stare as me and my family walked out after paying our full bill for food we didn't even eat. to say the least, we will never be returning to this place!
