We'd planned on eating lunch here after cruising around the Atchafalaya on a recent leisurely day. What could be more perfect? A boat ride on a beautiful day and a restaurant over water, one of my favorite ways to dine. It ended up being a totally different experience altogether. The restaurant is temporarily closed so the dock can be rebuilt. Which is sort of strange since the building itself is still open. I know that they launch swamp tours from here and I believe you can rent boats and kayaks so they are still up and running for that purpose. On our visit though, we were disappointed that the restaurant was closed since most of our plan centered around lunch here. Oh well. Hopefully I'll be able to sample the food once they are back in the business of feeding hungry boaters and swamp tour groups. The other thing that's weighing into my star rating is the very important fact that they have open and clean restrooms for the public. We stopped in twice just to use the facilities and were thankful to have them. Any restroom beats the alternative when you've gotta go on a boat and especially when you're in the swamp known to be home to some deadly creatures. I don't know about you, but I'd like my derrière to not be bitten by a big ass gator! Or a creepy water moccasin. Ewwwww!!

I've visited this restaurant multiple times over the past seven years. Sometimes the experience is exceptional, and other times it’s just good, but I’ve never had a bad experience here. This might be partly because I chat with the owner, who is friends with my uncle. Regardless, I plan to stop by again in a few weeks on my way back to New Orleans, and I hope it will be just as great as always!

Completely bad service , the food was okay (could've been better for price) , but the boss came in yelling at all of the employees and cursing up a storm , very bad service

Worst food I ever ate! Definitely not worth the money. It took an hour to get our order with only one other table occupied in the whole restaurant.
