Eerikin Pippuri - Helsinki

Very good portion and open till late, could do with a bit more spicey option.

Portions were huge Taste was amazing Everyone was enjoying the food The only complaint I would point out is the red sauce was basically spicy ketchup.

2.5 stars. The Gentleman that took our order seemed very rude on my first visit to Helsinki. I am Turkish myself and when I saw this place I wanted to see the quality of food they gave compared to Turkish take away or fast food places in London and as a tourist at the time I tried to ask general info about Helsinki during my visit in 2016, the shop was not busy it was after 9pm but the gentleman (if you look into the photos its the guy with the Black shirt “smiling” who I think is the owner of this branch-avoid his place) seemed to be not interested to converse. I asked if there was a lot of Turkish people living in Finland and his response was “We Turks are enough here in Finland and we do not need anymore of us here”. After my meal I asked if they served Turkish tea, because its a Turkish tradition to give free tea on the house to customers, and rudely the same gentleman answered “The tea here is only for me and my staff” so I paid and walked out without thanking him further. A year later I did move to Finland and decided to avoid his branch. I did go to another branch of the same company with my wife In the Forum building again, next to the Chinese takeaway and other take away and the staff were more customer friendly more talkative and to my surprise I was offered a tea after my meal.

After getting really fast service, everything was just fine until tasting the food. The sauce they used didn't match with kebab, french fries or the salad. A huge improvement could be done just my using different sauces. The fries and the kebab were pretty dry as well, but that would be less worse if the sauce would have been good.

Friendly staff and good food. the amount is more than enough for a person. if you need to eat sharp, ho here.
