Bidrage med feedbackEach of us enjoyed two of our favorite rolls, along with soup, salad, and two pot stickers, all for less than what we usually spend on just two rolls. We could have stopped there for about $35, but we consider ourselves sushi enthusiasts. After our bento boxes, we couldn't resist ordering a snapper roll, an Osaka roll, and a Ninja roll. Every single one of our seven rolls was perfectly prepared, incredibly fresh, and absolutely delicious. The soups—mine was miso and his was Osaka—were very flavorful. The salad surprised us with its crispness and light, sweet dressing. The restaurant itself is always spotless; I've never seen it messy. Our server, whose name I unfortunately forgot to note, was excellent. She checked on us frequently and got all our orders right. Plus, the sushi arrived quickly. Honestly, based on this visit, I can't see how anyone could rate this restaurant anything less than 5 stars. We don't go out for sushi often due to the cost, but we're definitely planning to visit Osaka more regularly and stick to the bento boxes. We'll still treat ourselves to a full sushi feast about twice a year. That's just how we roll!
On the day of the reservation, as we were on our way, the restaurant called to confirm, and that's when I discovered they had us down for 8:15 PM. I explained that we had agreed on 8:45 PM and mentioned that we were less than 10 minutes from the restaurant. The hostess assured me it wasn’t a problem. However, just two minutes later, I received a call from the manager who was quite angry and rude about our tardiness. I was frustrated that they hadn't recorded the correct time from my reservation. The manager insisted they had us at 8:15 PM and said it was unfair to keep the cooks waiting. I reiterated that we were only about 5 minutes away, but he cut me off, saying they wouldn’t seat us and abruptly hung up the phone. I’ve never encountered such a rude and unaccommodating manager before. On a brighter note, the hostess that evening was much kinder and managed the situation more effectively. She even apologized for the misunderstanding. I expressed my appreciation for her kindness in contrast to her manager's demeanor, and she mentioned that he behaves that way when he's upset. While I think I might give this restaurant a second chance, I wanted to share my disappointing experience. It truly upset me, and if the manager had approached the situation differently, I believe I wouldn't have felt as frustrated.
I understand that places can have off nights, which is why I didn’t leave a review earlier. However, I decided to give it another try tonight. I went alone around 4:30 PM on a Saturday. The restaurant had about eight tables occupied and seven servers hanging around. I chose to sit at the sushi bar. After about 3 to 5 minutes, the waiter came by to take my drink order. I gave him my order, and then he walked away. Five minutes later, my drinks arrived, and I placed an appetizer order while also trying to decide on my sushi rolls. The waiter left and I didn’t see him again. The sushi chef kindly brought me my appetizer, but I had no setup. I asked the manager for the setup, hoping for better attention. I finished my appetizer and my beer, but then sat there for 20 minutes without anyone approaching me! I decided to calculate my tab for the beer and appetizer myself, left it on the bar, and walked out. Nobody said a word! I can’t believe how far this place has fallen in terms of service!
Dined at Osaka tonight (Valentine's Day) with my beautiful wife. Atmosphere was very nice and noise level was just perfect for gazing into the eyes of the most amazing and beautiful woman on earth. I was captivated by every word she spoke and could only think about how wonderful our lives are and how I look forward to every moment with this gorgeous goddess that I have the honor to call my wife. Once again we over enjoyed but the sushi and teriyaki chicken was exceptional. Kevin our server was attentive and courteous. Osaka Japanese grill is a perfect venue for that ever so important date night.
Don 't waste your time. They have lost a faithful customer. I 've been here several times over the past year with NO reservations and never had an issue, there was a time that they didn 't even accept reservations. We arrive and the host, Anna, asks how many and tells us 15 minute wait time. We wait for 30 minutes and she takes us to a table. I informed her we wanted to sit at a grill. She then said they only have the grills for reservations. However, she did not mention that or ask my preference when I arrived. I was not pleased. If this is the rule, they should state such especially since I 've been here before and was never turned away from a grill or told reservations only. I asked to speak to the manager, and explained it to him and he said well there is a first time for everything and laughed. Nothing is funny. Kyle that was rude and an unprofessional and unacceptable response. Learn how to talk to people and treat customers better.
