Caledonia Room At Valhalla Resort

My friends and I were a party of 12 and came to celebrate our 7 years of friendship together. We were excited to celebrate at a nice place. They took us to our table and it happened to be in their private room. The upset about that is it’s $150 for the private room which we did not request NOR did they tell us at any point during our visit. Not when we made the reservation either. Which is ridiculous. You cannot just spur on some fee without us knowing. But because the food took forever. I mean FOREVER. We didn’t want to make a big deal because we’d be there even longer. I’ve never had to wait two hours for a meal. Granted the meal was great and the staff was nice but waiting that long for anything, I’d normally leave but because we were celebrating, I stayed. Then they got the checks wrong and I went to correct them and we all still got it wrong. But again, everything took forever so we d just ended having to pay each later for what we owed. It wasn’t the best experience and that’s a shame because the food was great.

5/5! Staying at the Valhalla with a few friends, and a few of the staff recommended we try out the Sky Bar for drinks and dinner. The Food: After checking out their menu, I landed on the Lump Crab Cakes as an appetizer and the Grilled C.A.B Ribeye for my main entree. The crab cakes were delicious! There was plenty of crab filling and they were baked to perfection. Nicely sized too. The Ribeye was tender and juicy. Cooked to my requested temperate and the sweet potato mash that comes with it was seasoned perfectly. Highly recommend getting both options. I also had a a piece of cake from their dessert selection, but can 't remember the flavor. However, I do remember it being a very delicious cake. The Service: Service here was impeccable! The staff were friendly and attentive. Service was amazing. Food was brought out in a timely manner and we didn 't have to wait for water refills. The Atmosphere: The Sky Bar is located at the top of the Valhalla, and they have an open door section that shows the nice view of the mountains. Lovely place for a date or to hang with some friends. The restaurant is a little small though. Overall, a 5/5! Highly recommend coming up to the Sky Bar and checking their menu out. Lovely staff, service and food.

My husband and I had the pleasure celebrating our babymoon with a private Chef Table’s dinner. Before we arrived, Chef Tim called us to discuss the menu and get our thoughts. Chef Tim and his staff put together amazing flavors and courses we loved! The steak.. melted in our mouths!! Great atmosphere and experience. We can’t recommend this special dinner more!! To top off our night, Chef Tim saved the extra steak tips for our dogs that are staying with us in the resort. Our boys were in heaven with their share of the Chef’s table.

The Caledonia Room did absolutely everything right. The atmosphere and service was outstanding right out of gate. Tim (sp? promptly parked our vehicle and she welcomed us inside. Adrien was our server. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. The chef accommodated our *very* needy family's every need. The food was OUTSTANDING. If I could give them 10 stars I would! We look forward to returning our next trip. Meal type: Dinner
