Höhenrestaurant Cafè Wartberg

.... an excellent Swabian cuisine and magnificent views over Heilbronn. For us one of the most beautiful and best excursion restaurants with café and panoramic terrace, near Heilbronn. We were back on a short trip in Heilbronn and went with friends for lunch in this traditional high-altitude restaurant on the Wartberg to let us pamper with a delicious meal there (not for the first time) in a cozy ambience. For information, about 313 m high Wartberg is located about 2 km airline, northeast of the city center of Heilbronn, above the vineyards worth seeing. The former Wartberg restaurant (now high house Wartberg) has existed since 1792 and is located right next to the worth seeing ca. 22 m high Wartberg Tower, already in the 12th Century where the watchtower was built. From there, the entire Neckar basin and the Weinsberger Valley can be overlooked and the tower can be seen almost throughout the city. All beautiful memories, from our last visit about 3 years ago, we found here again unchanged. These were among other things the super ambience with its comfortable atmosphere and, of course, the most important, delicious food from the Swabian country, with a regional map adapted according to the season. Of course we had chosen something to eat that we didn't get in our house every day. I had the Swabian onion rust roasts for €18.80 with homemade latency and colorful salad plate and my wife had the here popular vinegar, in a cranberry jus with cream puffs, berry berry, homemade latency and also a colorful salad plate for €14.50. Everything was just super tasty and a pleasure for eyes and stomach. What else do you want? You just have to have seen and experienced yourself. We didn't regret it and we're back. In the same way, you would like to have a place of excursion, with a very good Swabian cuisine and a gigantic view over Heilbronn, making it also worth a longer trip to the restaurant and Café Wartberg.
