Bidrage med feedbackWe were at Knosel for breakfast which was good, plentiful I took the full breakfast) but simple with cheese and cooked meat slizes and wrapped Nutella and strawberry jam. Bread was not the quality that Germany has to offer. The coffee was really good,...the music was classic late German disco (Modern Talking and the lot) which I enjoyed being a child from the
We ordered an old town' breakfast. Even if it included a glass of orange juice, they didn't bring it. Still the breakfast was nice.
We came and seated ourselves without any greetings from employees. After waitinf for approx. minutes without getting anything, I politely asked for the menu and was turned down with rude tone that I must sit down first.
Stopped for a quick bite and had a Tuna Baguette and a Sachertotre both of which were good. Apparently this was the cafe where the Student Kiss was invented by Fridolin Knösel, a chocolatier and master confectioner. He created a delicious chocolate delight, which he...impishly called the Student´s Kiss. Students of Heidelberg could gift these chocolates to the young ladies from Heidelbergs finishing schools without objections from their chaperones!
Asked for English menu, was told to sit down first, which I did. Seemed to bust themselves for another minutes before actually giving me a menu and then proceeded to ignore me for the next minutes. I asked to order and told the young...waiter what I wanted and got non-committal response. About minutes after this the other (older) waiter who seemed to be in charge asked me if I was ready to order. I told him that I thought I had ordered already and was it going to take long because I had a train to catch. He seemed think it would take some time so I left after already spending half an hour waiting for some service. What a terrible experience and poor service all round.
