Bidrage med feedbackGreat coffee and tee and really good cake. dog-friendly, not only tolerant, but friendly. hand towels and dog bowls and snacks for dogs, even cakes. our first visit was hastened as we had to come to the train station, but we plan to visit again at our next visit. Bud here ate all his cake in about 10 seconds
Lovely quirky little cafe. Nice food and wide drink choice.
Every dog and it 's human should make at least one trip to the Lamppost café. Opened with the intention of putting dog 's first, Amy Claire strived to build up the business even in the face of adversity (2015 flloods). Now under new ownership, I feel the atmosphere that was created will continue. Muddy paws and wellies are always welcome. There is plenty for sale for your beloved pooch. From collars leads, to treats and the all too popular pupcakes, which are a big hit. Made with only dog friendly ingredients. The human food is excellent too. Prepared fresh daily. Thanx to Claire for the amazing 'Thai Butternut Squash Soup ' it was sublime. Cannot wait for our next visit.
This café offers a menu featuring simple dishes, including sandwiches and various toppings on toast. They also have a selection of cakes, including a gluten-free option, as well as a quiche. There are a few vegan choices, such as curry and lentil soup, and they provide alternatives to dairy milk. However, it's important to note that they only accept cash payments, which can be inconvenient for those, like me, who don’t carry cash. Most small cafes and independent places nowadays accept card payments. Overall, the food was enjoyable, there was something for everyone, and prices were reasonable. They also allow dogs in certain areas of the café.
I have visited this place several times over the past five months, and I absolutely love the atmosphere, coffee, and pancakes. They also offer great lunch options!
