Burdock - Healdsburg

This is a fantastic spot for enjoying cocktails and dinner! They offer unique cocktails and delicious food. The server and bartender were incredibly friendly. We will definitely return!

We ordered four of the five items available. The salad was quite basic — something I could easily whip up at home any night. The lamb tartare was acceptable, assuming you're comfortable eating raw lamb from a place that doesn’t seem to focus heavily on food. The burger was ordinary; nothing special but not terrible. The fries, however, were the highlight of our meal. Unfortunately, the braised beef shoulder (I think that’s what it was called) was nearly inedible. It seemed as though it had been prepared, refrigerated, and then overcooked in the microwave. I struggled to cut through it with a knife, let alone chew it, and most of the dish went untouched. Additionally, the online wine list promised a better and wider selection than what they actually offered. If cocktails are your primary interest, you might enjoy this place, but I would recommend dining elsewhere. Two other noteworthy points: the restaurant is quite small, and many of the cocktails are smoked or have flaming garnishes, which causes the space to become rather smoky. Lastly, the manager or host was rather curt and unfriendly, even though we had made a reservation.

The location is excellent, the staff were amazing, and the drinks were both unique and delicious.

Everything about the vibe and atmosphere are amazing! I loved the Burger just perfect and any drink Bangkok Truffle, the Smoked Old Fashioned but that FRENCH CONNECTION SAZERAC... life changing! But I can not conclude with out saying anything about the team, Dante, Madison and Bee were absolutely amazing and made my birthday so special and memorable, thank you all!

TLDR: We came here during our trip to Healdsburg and loved it. Great cocktails. This isn't the type of bar that you'd expect to find in Healdsburg. This spot dark, viby, and gives the feel of a Mexico City bar with skulls, melted candle wax, and intense attention to detail. The staff is not prim and proper they are refreshingly wholly themselves. The drinks are a work of someone who cares to do things differently. Burdocks brings a beautiful eccentric touch the this amazing town.
