Basecamp Cafe Burnside - HAZELWOOD PARK

Have been going to this Cafe weekly for over 12 months. The staff are friendly and efficient. However the Manager I assume he is the owner is rude and seemed to go out of his way to make me feel unwelcome. If you are a male and around his age he will go out of his way to be friendly. Will not return.

A nice place but lacking some vibe for a cafe maybe dew for a makeover looking tiredfood is ok nothing to rave about the price is more than what it should bestafff really good

Revising my review, after not having been there for a while, walked in for coffee and politely asked whether keep-cups are accepted at the moment. Response from the man behind the counter was a loud, angry NO F 'ING WAY!!!!!!! which startled me. I have no idea why he thought it was okay to speak to me like that, but last year they were accepting keep cups when other cafe 's weren 't, so I just thought I 'd politely ask. The other nearby café that wasn 't accepting keep cups last year, explained that most cafe 's are following the rule that when masks are required, keep-cups aren 't accepted. But last year when masks became required, that 's when Basecamp started accepting my cup again. I didn 't deserve to be spoken to like this, I 've clearly had some very confusing acceptance of keep-cups during these times, and don 't feel comfortable to go back. No problems with not accepting reusable cups if there 's a safety risk to staff as per their store policy, but without signage clearly visible it 's just unnecessary to have loud swearing to a polite query. Especially whilst I wore my mask, I checked in with the QR, I socially distanced, and I had used hand sanitiser. Meanwhile, a female staff behind the counter was wearing her mask below her nose, preparing food from the sandwich bar. The rude man was next to her whilst he yelled at me with my polite query, but seemed to be comfortable with staff wearing a mask below the nose. Another customer in the store took their mask off to have a conversation with their friend, and he didn 't yell at that customer, just me. Go figure!Will I go back? NO F 'ING WAY!

Good breakfast take-away, unfortunately the coffee was made well before the food was ready.

I ordered a coffee, not snide judgement on my milk selection being “naturopath approved.”Never again
