Bidrage med feedbackThis place is just a gem! The sandwiches are phenomenal! You can tell from the moment you order to when you are handed your bag of deliciousness how much pride Matt and Mo put into their product. The ice cream is an added bonus to this wonderful family owned business.
Well, I went there because there was a little article in the Free press about it about 3 weeks ago. It was good, not anything especially great, not like the raving they were giving it in the paper. And, as with everything else these days, a bit pricey. I would have been much more satisfied if it cost about half what it did, which would have been about $6, maybe eight would have been okay. Thinking about it, as I'm sitting here reading it, I'd probably have to downgrade it to so so to good. I'd go back, but would not be in any big hurry to do so, although it's nice that they have the ice cream and the slushes and all that other stuff that you can get at the same time. Good luck. Enjoy I should add they were certainly friendly and pleasant enough. Parking okay not great.
Inspired by watching The Bear on Hulu I decided to seek out an Italian beef sandwich near by. Matt Mo?s shares space with an ice cream shop in Hazel Park. The walk up window attendant was very nice and helpful answering all my questions. I ordered the Italian beef with hot sweet peppers, dipped. I also ordered a side of fries with the honey sriracha 1000 Island dipping sauce. It was a very good meal. The one thing I noticed about the Sando was the meat was a bit dry even though it was dipped. I did use some of the dipping sauce on the Sando and it was pretty good. I would go and try it again for sure. The peppers were good with the dipped bread and meat.
Decent but I was expected it to be better. Dipped bread was on dry side and sweet peppers were not cooked enough. For $12 and $13 fries could have been included. The meat was seasoned well best part of sandwich.
Food is amazing. I got the combo sandwich, which was dipped Italian Beef and Italian Sausage with the hot and sweet peppers, and it was to die for! I also got the Sweet Potato waffle fries which were some of the best that I've ever had. Washed it down with a Coke for around $20. If I had a complaint, it would be the cost. $20 for a sandwich, fries and drink is a little steep. I'd be a regular if it was around $15, so I guess I'll just be a semi-regular.
