The best burger I've had in years! The fries are huge—one order is enough for four people. They're homemade and delicious. Just a heads up: it’s cash only and there’s no dine-in option. I visited this restaurant for dinner today with my grandma, great aunt, and great uncle. They recommend calling ahead to place your order, but we didn’t, and the young lady who took our order was incredibly friendly! The menu is more limited than it was before COVID, but my grandma insists that they still have the best burgers on the planet, and I have to say, I agree! My burger was cooked to a perfect medium rare and loaded with toppings, just how I like it. We ordered two mama burgers and a side of fries, which was more than enough for four people. At a total of $41, that breaks down to just $10.25 per person, plus we had plenty of leftover fries to make home fries for breakfast the next day. Val's is unfortunately open only two days a week and does takeout only, although there are a few tables in the back for dining. While the takeout setup and folding tables don’t provide much ambiance, the place was bustling, with a packed parking lot. It was definitely worth the visit, and I hope their dining room will be open next time I'm in California! Once it is, I’ll be happy to give them that fifth star! As for vegetarian options, the fries are the only choice available.

I was looking forward to dining inside the restaurant, but I noticed a sign on the window stating that no indoor dining is allowed; they only accept phone orders.
