River Deck - Hayward

Raw chicken on our southwest salad. Service ok. View ok. Will not be back. Seems to be ran by a bunch of 16 year olds.

Came for dinner before the lumberjack show. Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. Menu is small and upscale, mostly steak and seafood. We had baked brie, tenderloin and steak salad, all very good. Service was fast. Food came out slowly, but for theprice you're paying, it's nice to be able to relax, take your time and enjoy the view.

The food was decent, but the cocktail menu didn't have any prices listed. When I inquired about the prices of the mojito and margarita, the waitress said she wasn't sure, so I asked her to check. She mentioned that the mojito was $10 and the margarita was $12. I ordered the mojito, but I was charged $12 instead. When I brought this to the server's attention, she said there was no way to correct it. This will definitely be my last visit. Be careful—they seem to be trying to take advantage of customers!

The food was on the expensive side, with a hamburger priced at $19. The grilled chicken salad was enjoyable, and the service was quite good. I would consider returning, though not frequently, as the dining experience leans towards high-end cuisine. The dry martini was excellent!

This is a fantastic restaurant! The Nacho Tuna Platter is unique and definitely worth trying. It's a great spot to relax and spend time with friends. Our server, Kenzie, did an excellent job—hats off to her!
