Woman at counter was very friendly, but burrito was just mediocre. I ordered the super vegetarian, it was about 2/3 rice, skimpy on the cheese (more costly ingredient), hardly any lettuce, no guac. The fact that the place was completely empty at 6:30pm on a Thur evening should have been a hint. Located in a run-down strip mall. There must be better taquerias nearby, I just don't know Hayward.
Hidden gem in Hayward! My husband and I have been going to El Indio II, which is their food truck on A St. When we learned about their restaurant closer to home we decided to try it out. First you place your order with the staff at the counter then choose your seating.Great service! Friendly staff. Delicious $1.50 street tacos daily, including weekends. Comes with complimentary chips and mild salsa, which is actually tasty. Not oily or stale. Pleasantly surprised and satisfied whenever we go.I wanted to post a review because when we go visit there is usually no one else there, but it is most likely due to others not knowing. The food is so good and reasonably priced so others need to know! They have ample space for families and groups. Big parking lot too.FYI my favorite are Tuesdays for their chicken tacos. They also have Sunday Buffet with a variety of Mexican food for $25/person I think 9am to 2pm. We look forward to trying that sometime soon!
Hit the daily specials for some of the best tacos in Hayward. The Cabeza and buche are amazing. Ask for extra salsa with whatever you get.
Mentioned when I placed the order for $15 dollar supreme burrito most be the bomb but sorry to say it wasn't one of the worst carne asada supreme burritos of eaten very cold
