Acqua E Farina - Hayward

After driving 26 hours in the car over the past 2 days in Texas, we were craving a proper meal. It was our 34th anniversary, so we chose to dine at this restaurant after reading the reviews. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating to our group of 5. I ordered the frutti di mare special and it was absolutely fantastic! It brought back memories of the aromas from my time in Italy. My wife had the lasagna and she raved about how delicious it was. We all had a wonderful dining experience and we are grateful for the beautiful anniversary dinner amidst the chaos of our travels. Thank you!

The service and food quality at this price point definitely deserve 5 stars. Highly recommend, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the food was excellent. My only critique would be to start with a slightly larger portion, but overall all our dishes were fantastic. We have only been here once, but we will definitely come back when we are in the area again!

I have been dining at this restaurant for many years and it never disappoints. The food is delicious, the prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is inviting. It is an excellent choice for a nice evening out in the city or a gathering with friends. I particularly love their gnocchi, the sauce is simply delicious.

The hostess at this place is very pleasant and fast to get them a table for an early dinner and it was a walk-in (no reservation.) that is where they need to improve. the food came on the 1st, although they were asked for the drinks. her old-fashioned drink was on the sweet side. It is good, but then it was already cold until it came to our table. After we have informed our server that we are ready to check, we have patiently waited for him to send it to us. he went half a dozen times before I decided to give him my card, because he forgot to bring him to our table. I suggest they try to be the place that they have a better experience than we have.

Varied menu and their specials are often amazing. Good wine list. Nice, relaxed dining experience. My wife and I usually share the polenta appetizer (tonight I had the seafood stuffed mushrooms as well). I'm often torn between their fish special and several of their pasta dishes (I love their pesto with shrimp). The staff are always friendly and helpful.
