Colombian Delicatessen - Hawthorne

We ordered a bandeja paisa, which is a delightful sampler featuring blood sausage, steak, and chorizo, along with rice, beans, avocado, and plantains. The portions were very generous, and even as two people, we couldn’t finish everything. It was a lovely experience to enjoy a cozy meal in such a family-oriented environment.

I visited this café hoping to find some chocolate and was welcomed by a wonderfully hospitable family running an authentic Colombian establishment. I settled in for brunch and enjoyed a delightful first tasting from Chef Carlos – it truly felt like visiting family. I can't recommend this place highly enough; it’s definitely one of those special gems. Edit: I returned for the caldo de costilla and added a picture!
