Déjà Vu Restaurant Bar - Hawkesbury

This place has downgraded over the years. I remember coming here and waitresses were super friendly, quick and efficient. Tonight was just not a good night. Came here early with a friend and our kids. Service was SUPER slow. Took an eternity to get our drinks. We arrived at 5pm, and by the time we walked out it was 7:30. My kids had poutine and chicken, it was fine. I ate a Caesar salad, and it wasn't very good, tasted like they dropped the whole salt in there, when you pay 17$ for a salad, you expect it to be good...

Firstly I noticed a few of the staff were wearing masks below their noses. I ordered a chicken burger which was dry, the fries were dry as well. They messed up my wife's order as well. For the same price you can easily find much better food and service if you drive a bit further. They're not running a tight ship.

I ordered the Chicken Pita—choosing Greek cuisine at a Canadian restaurant, which felt a bit bold, but it turned out to be a wonderful choice! It came with a side of fries and salad. This was definitely a high-risk, high-reward situation, and the food was absolutely delicious. I loved the sliced chicken in the pita, and the salad was fresh and flavorful, enhanced by a good amount of vinegar and mouthwatering feta cheese curds. I deducted one star because the fries could use some improvement; they were overcooked, lacked seasoning, and mostly tasted like potato skin. However, the portion sizes were very generous. We also ordered Buffalo wings, which were among the best I've ever had. They were perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside without being overwhelmed by sauce. What a hit! It’s no wonder this place is the top-rated spot in Hawkesbury!

This is a popular place with good food. Again don't expect to be treated with courtoisie. Employees seem unhappy and the ambiance is very noisy.

I tried the bruschetta here, and it was really delicious. However, the servers seemed overwhelmed, and it took about 40 minutes for our order to arrive. This busy place could benefit from having more staff to serve guests more efficiently. The interior is spacious, featuring a pool table and a bar, as well as plenty of outdoor seating. It's said to be the best large restaurant in Hawkesbury.
