The Hogget - Hawarden

I just had coffee at this lovely place, and the woman who served me was incredibly nice and friendly, especially with my specific coffee requests! Overall, a great experience.

Consider this restaurant as a cozy spot with a bar, perfect for a casual drink or a complete meal. Though the menu is small, the food quality is exceptional. It's hard to find better dining options this far from the main highway. The staff are outstanding, from the bartenders to the kitchen staff—they're all willing to stop and chat friendly. The place is well-managed, so while you shouldn't expect a cheap meal, you can definitely anticipate high quality. They offer three taps featuring a New Zealand pale ale and craft lager, alongside the usual mass-produced beers. The menu includes locally sourced meats, and they've just released a new menu that’s even better!

WOW. Great service, friendly staff. Amazing food. Pork belly entree was to die for. We are going back in 2 days. Recommend to anyone on the area I would good far as to say it is a destination not a side attraction. Congrats to the chef and the staff. Thanks.

Food was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were warm, friendly and extremely helpful. The lovely lady working front of house entertained my two young boys and made going out for lunch so enjoyable! We will certainly be back with family and friends!

We enjoyed Eggs Benedict with a generous quantity of salmon. It was very delicious. The service was excellent and personal. It just so happened that the horse show was in progress across the road which was a bonus. All in all a nice place to visit and to have a meal and a drink. Recommended to all.
