Chez Denis a Francois - Havre-Aubert

The Inn has recently been completely renovated and has a rich history. Our room was very comfortable, with a bar fridge, and room 103 had a beautiful view of the water. Despite arriving late at 8 o'clock in the middle of dinner service, Etienne effortlessly welcomed us and checked us in. He was very knowledgeable and helpful with all of our requests, making our stay even more enjoyable. Each morning, we were greeted by Annie Kim at the breakfast restaurant with sunshine and delicious options to choose from. On our last day, we had to catch an early ferry, and Etienne kindly provided us with a packed breakfast to take with us. This thoughtful gesture added an extra touch to an already wonderful stay.

The owner, Francine, greets customers warmly at this restaurant. The cozy rooms are well-equipped with excellent bed linens that are very comfortable and firm. The restaurant offers excellent value, especially the pot en pot, a delicious local seafood specialty. The staff is friendly, helpful, and resource-saving. I will definitely return on my next trip to the island. One note: there were construction works happening during my visit, causing noise and disturbances. It would have been nice to be informed about this in advance.

The restaurant, located in a Canary yellow building from the 19th century, offers breathtaking views. The two interior rooms are painted white, lacking character and history. Despite pictures showing colorful bed linens, they were not present during our dinner. The service was satisfactory, but the quality of the food and atmosphere were average. As a group of six, we were able to try everything on the menu. Unfortunately, Denis á François does not offer the same exquisite dining options found on these beautiful islands.
